The Good Wild – Stand: A Sprouting Design
Our First Meeting with the Brand
When we first met The Good Wild, we were deeply impressed by the brand’s compassion for nature and its mission to protect the world’s limited resources. The goal of creating real and healthy foods, developed in the light of science and expertise, formed the cornerstone of this mission. It became clear to us that this philosophy needed to come to life not only in the products themselves but also in the design solutions that introduced and marketed these products. In this context, the idea of creating a stand design consistent with the brand’s identity and values became the main guide for our design process.
Design Process
We aimed to create a design that reflected The Good Wild’s values in both a visual and functional way. Throughout this process, our focus was on ensuring that the design served not just as a visual object but also as a carrier of the brand’s message. We embraced an approach centered on sustainability, emphasizing respect for nature and drawing attention to environmental awareness.
The design needed to embody The Good Wild’s philosophy of harmony with nature while also presenting a striking and distinctive presence in commercial spaces. Additionally, it had to act as an interface that seamlessly connected the products with consumers, fulfilling both informational and display functions. The design also served as a “sign” within the space, conveying the brand’s values through a clearly noticeable visual language.
The most striking aspect of the stand we designed was its inspiration drawn from the sprouting phenomenon emphasized by the brand. The sprouting metaphor established a meaningful connection, creating visual awareness while symbolizing the brand’s commitment to natural and healthy products. To bring this metaphor to life, we adopted a unique design approach that combined traditional craftsmanship with advanced cutting techniques.
The stand’s shelves were crafted from wood chipboards. In our view, using recyclable materials instead of recycled ones offers a fairer and more sustainable solution under Turkey’s conditions. This choice aligned with our goal to minimize environmental impact through design. Furthermore, the stand was designed with adaptability in mind, allowing it to be repurposed – for instance, as home or office furniture – once its marketing function was fulfilled. Additionally, the recyclable nature of the stand’s iron and wood materials provided an eco-friendly solution.
