Upperist Roof Bar

Located on the rooftop platform of The Marmara Taksim, Upperist, features two separate bars strategically placed, along with the surrounding walls and seating elements, all designed with clean lines and white tones. The aim is to create a simple approach that highlights the existing Istanbul skyline visually and enhances the customer experience. The designs have also been developed to maintain harmony with the existing architectural structure.

These two bars and their surrounding seating arrangements provide customers with the opportunity to experience the ‘roof bar’ area accompanied by a unique view at different times of the day.

The modular seating arrangements, with varying heights, allow for flexible seating combinations depending on the events held in the area. Ponytail plants placed in white pots add a natural coolness and create an atmosphere with different shades of green. The vertical wooden elements covering the walls serve as a structure for jasmine plants to climb and transform into a living greenery over time.

The bar furniture shutters, designed in the same style and resistant to wind, are utilized to create shade depending on the movement of the sun.

By incorporating these considerations into the design process, wind-resistant furniture can provide a safe, comfortable, and visually appealing outdoor seating experience, even in areas prone to strong winds.
