“Incebelli“ means “slim-waisted” and refers to the shape of the popular Turkish tea glass.
As the traditional shape of the tea glass and its cultural significance are deeply rooted, the possibilities of reinterpreting this shape is limited. Starting from this statement, Koray Ozgen offers a more universal approach : he takes graphic datas of the profiles of nearly hundred tea glasses a slim-waisted manufactured by Pasabahce and gets an average curve.
The final shape of The İncebelli tea glass is obtained with this average curve and is thus proportionally adapted to the other types of glasses, such as whiskey and shot glass.
The various techniques of ornamentation mastered by Paşabahçe are applied on the glasses: gilding, engraving, hand painting and filigree.
