These salad servers are made out of branches collected from seasonal pruning of olive trees from the Aegean shores of Anatolia, one of the oldest regions of olive tree cultivation in the world. These branches were normally used as firewood by local people for heating in winter time. The design solution brought by Ozgen Design Studio was to recycle these branches into kitchen utensils manufactured by local craftsmen. The branch is hand turned on one extremity only and becomes a smooth handle for tossing and serving green salad. Each piece is unique.
